Martijn is organizer and Artistic Director of the annual International Boogie Woogie Festival Holland. During this event, the best Boogie Woogie pianists from around the world perform for over 1,000 visitors.

Performers of previous festivals are, amongst others, Bob Seeley (USA), Axel Zwingenberger (D), Henry Butler (USA), Little Willie Littlefield (USA), Rob Rio (USA), David Maxwell (USA), Jean-Pierre Bertrand (F), Jean-Paul Amouroux (F) and, from Holland, Pia Beck.

Besides top pianists, the festival offers a lot of great other entertainment such as tapdancers and many musical surprises.

The organizing Foundation Boogie Promotions Holland has the statutory purpose to promote Boogie Woogie and Piano Blues in Holland. The foundation has been established in September 2003 by Martijn Schok, who also is Chairman of the foundation.
