Martijn is organizer and Artistic Director of the annual International Boogie Woogie Festival Holland. During this event, the best Boogie Woogie and Blues pianists from around the world perform for over 1,000 visitors.

Performers of previous festivals are, amongst others, Bob Seeley (USA), Little Willie Littlefield (USA), Axel Zwingenberger (D), Henry Butler (USA), Rob Rio (USA), Mike Sanchez (UK), Big Jay McNeely (USA), Julian Phillips (UK), Frank Muschalle (D), David Maxwell (USA), Vince Weber (D), Jean-Pierre Bertrand (F), Jorg Hegemann (D), Jean-Paul Amouroux (F), Fabrice Eulry (F), Silvan Zingg (CH), Stefano Franco (It), Pia Beck (NL), Rob Agerbeek (NL), Jaap Dekker (NL), Eeco Rijken Rapp (NL), Thijmen Vonk (NL), Jeroen Sweers (NL), Jan Vayne (NL) and Martijn Schok (NL).

Besides top pianists, the festival offers a lot of great other entertainment such as (tap)dancers and many musical surprises.

The organizing Foundation Boogie Promotions Holland has the statutory purpose to promote Boogie Woogie and Piano Blues in Holland. The foundation has been established in September 2003 by Martijn Schok, Chairman of the foundation.
