Internationales Dixieland Festival Dresden 2008 16 and 17th of May, the Martijn Schok Boogie & Blues Band performed four times during the Internationales Dixieland Festival Dresden 2008, in Dresden, Germany. The festival is one of the worlds biggest jazz festivals. A recording of the song "Let The Four Winds Blow" performed by the Martijn Schok Boogie & Blues Band will be issued on the 'sampler CD' of this festival, as produced by the organisation of the event, and will be available via this website. |

New CD The new CD of the Martijn Schok Boogie & Blues Band is available now! The CD costs 20 Euro or US$ 30.00, excluded shipping costs. For shipping cost information, please click here. The name of the album is "Let The Four Winds Blow", after the famous composition by Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew. Besides this groovy piece, the CD features more New Orleans compositions and of course boogie woogie and piano blues. The recording sessions took place in January 2008 in Studio Greenfields Forever in Amsterdam of bandmember and studio technician Rinus Groeneveld. Sold-Out International Boogie Woogie Festival Holland 2008 The International Boogie Woogie Festival Holland 2008 was a sold-out succes. The festival took place on March 8th 2008 in hotel Heerlickheijd van Ermelo. A DVD video impression of the event will be produced which will be available via the festival website. Martijn invited six boogie woogie piano players from all around the world during his festival in Ermelo.
