Martijn is one of the world's leading boogie woogie and blues pianists. He performed all over the world, from Barcelona to Cincinnati, from Denmark to France. Also, Martijn played during many popular TV shows in Holland and regional TV stations in the USA.

Besides the swinging boogie woogie style, Martijn has built up an extensive and varied repertoire within the closely related and much-loved genres of blues, early rhythm 'n blues and soul-jazz (especially the early style of Ramsey Lewis). Martijn's performances offer a variety of American roots piano styles, always with a common characteristic: swing, virtuosity and groove.

Martijn's piano plaing can be extended with blues vocals of one of the few Dutch female blues singers: Greta Holtrop. And with one of Europe's best jazz tenor saxophone players: Olaf Hoeks. Martijn has one of the most swinging rhythm sections of the international boogie woogie scene, with Maarten Kruijswijk on drums and Hans Ruigrok on bass.
